Each year, NALF recognizes top Limousin cows based on the cows' outstanding records of reproductive performance and producing ability. Focus Dams have complete production histories on record with NALF, achieve excellence in reproductive requirements, and have a superior ability to produce pounds of weaned calf. More specifically, Focus Dams breed early as replacements, re-breed early each consecutive year and express superior longevity. Focus Dams must meet a stringent MPPA standard of 105 or higher. MPPA measures ability using weaning weight ratios.
